Last week we finished our Treaty of Waitangi. We had to check our spelling and make sure it made sense. Here is my work:

Similes about an animal

Hi fellow bloggers
Last week we wrote similes. We had to choose one picture and make three similes, like, as and than. Secondly we did this thing called circle the wagons, and what we did was sit in a circle of 10 and put our chrome books in front of us, then we rotated around a couple of times and wrote some ideas for their starting sentence on their Chromebooks. Here is my work:

Shadow Art

Hi fellow bloggers
Last week we made shadow art. First we needed to draw ourself on a whiteboard, then we took a photo of it. Secondly, we coloured our pictures in. Thirdly, we cut it out with black paper behind our coloured picture. Now, this was very hard! Fourthly, we stuck our shadow on a piece of coloured paper and then our coloured one slightly over the black picture. Fifthly, we got colourful strips and cut them into squares, and glue them on in a pattern around the edge. Sixth, we glued our picture on a big piece of black paper and stuck our name on. Here is my work:

Than simile sentences

Hi fellow bloggers
This week we have been learning about similes. There are three kinds of similes: like, as and than. We were given photos to make into similes. First, we learnt about like similes, then we changed them into as similes and after that we learnt about than similes. So here is my work.

Here are my than similes...

In the wind, the flag flaps more than the girl's hair.

The pile of rubbish is stinker than the pair of dirty socks.

The man is more fierce than the roaring lion.

The owl's beak is curvier than the elephant's trunk.

Like similes and as smiles

Hi fellow bloggers
This week we have been learning about similes. There are three kinds of similes like, as and than. We were given photos to make into similes, first we learnt about like similes, then we changed them into as similes. So here is my work.

Here are my like similes...

The flag wiggles excitedly like the girls hair blowing in the wind.

The pile of rubbish stinks like a pair of dirty socks.

The man is fierce like the roaring lion.

The owl's beak is curved like the elephant's trunk.

Now here are my as similes...

The flag wiggles as excitedly as the girls hair blowing in the wind.

The pile of rubbish is as stinky as a pair of dirty socks.

The man is as fierce as the roaring lion.

The owl's beak is as curved as the elephant's trunk.

Maths Graphs

Hi fellow bloggers
Today we are learning about graphs. We had to use google sheets to create graphs and had to write a few sentences about the graphs. So here are my graphs I made.

August has the most ship arrivals, and December has the least ship arrivals.

My graph shows that Friday is the most hottest day this week, and Thursday is the most coldest day this week.

Rubbish Graph

Hi fellow bloggers
Last week we brought our lunch boxes into class for maths to do a survey about how many pieces of non-recyclable food wrap we had. We made a graph and here it is. I was in the 2 pieces group because I care about the planet.
